Little LaGrange's 18th century estate house with its accompanying ruins and rambling gardens has a charming old-island quality. The museum provides a rare view of Danish West Indian life. May 1- November 1, Thursday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.: November 1 - May 1, Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Christiansted National Historic Site King Wharf. This seven-acre park has a number of historic structures, including Fort Christiansvaern, the Steeple Building Museum, the Scale House, the Old Danish Customs House and the Danish West India & Guinea Company Warehouse. The visitors center is in the Scale House. Cruzan Rum Distillery West Airport Road. Visit this distillery and see the Virgin Islands rum-making process. Fort Frederik Museum & Art Gallery Frederiksted Waterfront. This landmark named in honor of King Frederik V of Denmark, dates back to the 1700s. Gallery Cds (Country Day School) North Shore Road St. Croix. This art gallery, open weekdays from September through May, displays the work of Virgin Islands artists. Government House Located 3 & 4 King St. This historic landmark was constructed in 1742, and long served as the palace of the Danish Monarchy. St. George Village Botanical Garden Entrance off Centerline Road in Estate St. George. In addition to approximately 1,000 varieties of plant life, this 16-acre garden features the ruins of a 19th century sugar cane village and rum factory, including a blacksmith's shop and worker's homes. Whim Plantation Museum Queen Mary Highway Buck Island Reef National Monument Northeast of Christiansted, accessible by private boats and authorized National Park concessionaires This is the first U.S. National Park to be located underwater, and it features two major underwater trails in the Marine Gardens. Snorkeling and scuba trips are available. The park covers 880 acres and includes two beaches, two picnic areas and barbecue grills. 9
